Just StumbledUpon a cool site that has been around awhile but of course I knew nothing about it because I exist in a tiny little world these days.
FutureMe.org is a site that lets you send emails to your future self. The concept is based on a writing assignment where you write a letter to yourself in the future and don't read it until then. On FutureMe, you can compose an email and then have it saved on the site's archive until the date you designated to email it.
You can make your email public & anonymous or private. Once you submit it, you cannot go back in and change the contents. It will be sent to you as originally written. As the site says, "sometimes email is more accurate than your memories."
I just composed my first FutureMe message and set it to be sent to me one year from now, January 1, 2008. A year from now, when I receive it, I will post it here and comment on it.
