Do I really have nothing meaningful to blog about anymore? Is everything I have to say relegated to baby, post partum, motherhood stuff? I have totally lost my identity as an expert in anything. But I do like my American Idol.

Here are my reviews of the first 3 weeks of the Top 24 competitions. These are my impressions a day or two after viewing the shows the first, SECOND and third weeks. Hope this isn't too confusing. Hey, it is coming from the heart...

Alaina - forgetable - SO SO SO BAD. - History

Amy  - forgetable - STILL NOT GOOD - Isn't she history, too? Can't remember.

AJ - forgetable - CAN'T REMEMBER. Okay performance. History.

Blake  - Who? - COOL PERFORMANCE. I'm liking this guy. Not going to win but enjoy him.

Antonella - I like her look. TOO BAD SHE SUCKS. Naked girl gets another chance. The power of nudity on the 'Net. She should go next week.

Gina - nice girl, not wowing me. BIG LUNGS, IMPRESSIVE FOR A WHITE GIRL. I like her but she has a lot of work to do to not get booted soon.

Brandon - I like him. WEAK FIRST SONG. Getting weaker all the time - too bad. He's nice looking with a smooth voice.

Chris Timberlake, I mean Justin, I mean... ENJOYED IT. I'm getting a kick out of this guy. Won't win but he's fun to watch.

Haley - can't remember her - JUST PLAIN BAD. Is she still in the game? Can't picture her.

Jordin - I like her. GREAT FOR 17. I think she'll be in the top 6 or 7 if she keeps it strong.

Chris - FUNNY! I bet he'll win because of his winning personality. STILL LIKE HIM BUT NOT AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE. Still like him and I don't think he'll be going right away, but won't win.

Jared - not sure. HE WAS OKAY. Liked that face move. He's good, I guess, but not wowing the socks off me.

Lakisha - Love her! LOVE HER EVEN MORE! This was a weaker performance for her - not a Big Lakisha Day this time around. But she'll be up in the top 6.

Leslie - freako. NOT GOOD. Missed her performance but clearly she is bitter and wacko. History.

Nicholas - forgetable. NOT GOOD. Who is this one? I think he was history.

Paul - memorable because of the Asian thing but no. JUST OKAY. History.

Melinda - no - POWERFUL - SURPRISED ME. Funny Valentine rocked the house - this gal is GREAT. But I still don't think she will win. Maybe top 3? Possibly top 2?

Nicole - No. I THOUGHT HER PERFORMANCE WAS A NIGHTMARE. I've forgotten her - I think she might be history.

Phil - Nice voice. NOW I CANNOT REMEMBER WHICH ONE HE WAS. Forgotten him - is he history, too?

Rudy - Or was it Rudy that has a nice voice? Get Rudy and Phil mixed up. IF HE WAS THE LAST ONE, HE WAS OKAY BUT MAYBE THAT WAS PHIL. Is he there or history?

Sabrina - not without a nose job - GREAT JOB. Missed her performance other than on voting night but still think she can carry her own against the awesome black women.

Stephanie - good, but don't think so. GREAT WAY TO START THE SHOW BUT OTHERS BLEW HER AWAY. She'll hang in for top 8, maybe top 6. Too conservative to win it all.

Sanjaya - token Indian. COMPLETELY LAME...BORING. Get rid of this guy, will you?

Sundance - don't remember his audition but his Hollywood stint sucked. BETTER THAN HOLLYWOOD BUT JUST NOT IMPRESSED YET. He's okay. When he get's down and bluesy, great, but we don't need another Taylor Hicks who I thought was a big mistake as last season's winner anyway.

ifilm.com let's you "snag an ad" and put your favorite Superbowl commercials on your web site. So I couldn't resist because there were a few I enjoyed.

Jehan - "I'm keeping my eye on the prize." Can her deep dark secret really be THAT bad? Please.

Moana - "Kind of cheesy but I'm digging it." Travis: "She definitely goes full throttle!" I think she thinks the ice princess strategy will work. Only for so long, sweetheart.

Sarah B. - Travis: "I'm amazed that someone as beautiful as you came out of the car." Am I missing something here? She looks like she needs a bath. Travis: "What I love about her is that she doesn't hold back. She's special." In a previous Bachelor, I had pointed out body language between Byron and Mary and picked Mary as the winning girl early on. Travis and Sarah B. are the couple that has that body language thing in bucketfuls.Travis is totally relaxed with her. He sure does set his sights low with this one.

Shiloh - I thought that there was some special connection that the producers didn't show us that happened at the champagne cellar last time (they cut the encounter down to 1 line each). But evidently, it was just so boring that it wasn't worth showing us. And she really screwed up when she turned into a gossip warning Travis about Moana.

Susan - "I'm a smitten kitten." Interesting how Travis wanted to "impress Susan with how smooth I am with directions." He thought it was flattering to see the relief in her eyes when he gave her the rose. His friends think this is his type of woman. But didn't they seem totally gay?

Tara - She's a lush. Doesn't she seem like she is drunk every single episode? Too jealous, too anxious about the rose, rose, rose, is that the rose, there's the rose, the rose is there, rose, rose, rose. And what is the showing up to interrupt everyone's private time. She is definitely out of here.

The obligatory Bachelor commentary from last week...

COMMENTS on the Rose Recipients:

1. Jehan - I thought she had lost when she told a guy that she couldn't do without her yoga. And that her passions are "Nature, Church and Health." Sounds like a freak to me. But according to our man, "There is something about Jehan - she's AMAZING."

2. Jennifer - I thought for sure she was a goner because she was practically invisible this show. I still can't get over her "Hot Little Babies" comment, and think she should wear a tshirt with that message on it.

3. Moana - I think she is playing the cool and distant bitch to great effect. "I don't date a guy who dates other women." Well, bee-yotch, you're shit out of luck now, aren't you? I actually like her.

4. Sarah B. - What Travis loves about her is that "she doesn't hold back" and is "soooooo cute." There is definitely that chemistry between them that you only find in college, or is that high school? Wicked!

5. Sarah S. - She looks soooo much better with her hair pulled back - much more natural - than the first show's look where I swear she looked like a transvestite. But she will be gone soon, so I don't care.

6. Shiloh - Much prettier the more you look at her, but her hair has a life of its own. And what the hell did they talk about in the champagne cave? It must have been very boring if they didn't even show it.

7. Susan - She's a conniving little wench. I want to like her, but her eyebrows are way too arched. Freaks me out.

8. Tara - Jealous streak! But Travis declared "Within 5 seconds, I knew this/you were going to be amazing." Then she ruined the moment with "You're awesome. I don't want to share you." That is when Travis realized these were REAL people with REAL feelings.

Call me shallow...

Shifting gears and plugging back into the television to watch The Bachelor with my girlfriends in Wyoming and Colorado. Here is my assessment of the first show this season. Yes, I'm so so cruel.

First Impressions and Classic Quotes

Ali D. - NBA Dancer - need I say more?

Allie G. - Saggy boobs. "My eggs are rotting." and "I'm ready to go through that Reproductive Phase." and "Why didn't you pick me? Is it because I'm too short, too tall, my boobs aren't big enough?"

April - Prettier than her picture

Cole - Baby Talk

Cortney - Southern Bimbo

Elizabeth - Schoolgirl

Jehan - This one's TROUBLE

Jennifer - Sorority Girl. "We're going to have hot little babies together."

Moana - Exotic with a Foul Mouth. But she did pull out that shivering card. (She also seems a little more intelligent but potentially unstable)

Sarah B. - Totally Immature. "Wicked!" (I think mentally she is on the Bachelor's emotional wavelength)
